It's called Radiator Springs Racers but it uses the same technology as Test Track. I don't think Mission: Space is coming to DCA even as a different name. There will be an attraction that was like Tomorrowland's Flying Saucers but that's about it.

Hmm Cool!!! Ya when we were told it was just before the 50th. So Im guessing that the management really didn't know a whole lot about what was going to happen. Have you heard about the water park coming to DLR? A buddy of mine used to work at the park and said that he saw the blue prints for it.

Never heard anything about a water park. I doubt there will be one since there's not enough room for them to build one since they're in a residential area.

That's what I was thinking when he told me about it. Maybe Disney will just buy the Convention Center Lol.

I'm sure they won't. I'm fine with what they have right now. A water park would be a little too extreme for Anaheim to have.

When we were there in February, We were told that DLR bought this huge strawberry field that's just down the road from the parks. They said it was for the new water park...Could be possible

It will be going in the former Golden Dreams attraction. Golden Dreams is already closed so I'm not sure if work has been started on it immediately but soon.

If folks are wondering what is going to happen over in the DCA upgrade, go to http://www.miceage.com and read the articles by Al Lutz. He seems to be right on the money with his stories. And seem to be inline with everything I have heard from sources in the parks and around the company.

It is really difficult to differentiate between true rumors and false ones. Many of the cast members have their own take on the info they hear. Just remember that everything you hear should be taken with a grain of salt, meaning don't fully trust everything you hear. Personally I have heard everything from they are going to tear down DCA and rebuild from scratch to taking over half of Anaheim. I don't believe either of those, but within every rumor there is a hint of truth.

Here are some links to Al Lutz's articles:

There are other updates made on a weekly basis by Andy Castro, David "Darkbeer" Michael, or you can follow dateline Disneyland on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/DatelineDisney you have to sign-up for twitter but you will receive updates on the parks.

Disneyland has owned the strawberry field on Harbor Blvd just south of Katella for years. There have been quite a number of ideas for this area (water park, boutique park, etc.) but whatever they build, being physically separated from the rest of the resort it would have to be somewhat free-standing.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Years huh? They didn't say when it was purchased but I didn't know it was long ago. It'll be interesting to see what it turns out to be...

Looking at Google Maps, I see there is a pretty big parking area along Katella, just north of the strawberry fields (bottom-center in the photo below). Is that some kind of overflow parking area?

Also, I remember reading awhile back that the city of Anaheim was planning on building some low-cost housing units on that land, and Disney filed a lawsuit to have that project stopped so that this land would still be accessible. Has anyone heard what the outcome was?

Sorry if this is drifting too far away from the original topic...

That's Cast Parking off Katella. I used to park there often! The Cast Members park there then shuttle into the park.
