Looks like the slow time for DLR is about the same as WDW. Off holiday, off school break medium weather times of year,

Basically the off season is a better fit.

Early November

I went in early November and it was great because there was barely anyone there and the park staff had just put up the Christmas decorations.

I'm actually sad to say that when I went in October is was VERY crowded. Granted we went over the weekend... I'd highly recomend trying to go on weekdays :)

First week of December shouldn't be too bad. Most people may or may not be out purchasing gifts.

Be aware that the Candlelight Processional is usually the first weekend of December. There may be a crowd for that. One of these years I would really like to be there for that.

Surprisingly the summer seems to be the least crowded these days, if you want to go by shear numbers. Apparently Disneyland only sees about 60,000 - 70,000 guests per day in the summer months but 80,000 - 90,000 per day during the so called "off" season. This is due to the massive number of AP's that now decend on Disneyland in the fall winter and spring. I would go into details but I am posting from my phone.

I find the best time of the year to go is midweek in September as all the kids have just returned to school, and the majority of the people are adults. It's not to hot or cold as well.

A good idea to go is right after thanks giving because most families will save their money for Christmas season, but thats just rumor. Never NEVER go 3-4 days after Christmas lets just say 2009 Christmas at DLR they sold out tickets at 10 AM
