I've heard Haunted Mansion got some updated effects. Madam Leota and the pictures that transform have been changed. Anything else?

I heard about that too. Madame Leota hovers around the table or something like that. i dont know about the pictures though.

Are you talking about the pictures that transform in the elevator/stretching room, or the ones in the hallway on the way to the doombuggies loading area that slowly change?

In the loading area. Not the elevator.

I just got back from a 4 day romp around the resort. The new stuff in mansion is cool! The floating Leota effect is really nice, it took me about 3 ride throughs to figure out exactly how they did it, very sneaky

The new pictures just as you exit the stretching room are not all that, inho. They change with the lightening outside the windows, but you don't get a good chance to see the pictures in their "normal" state because they've maybe amped up the lightening effect? I'm not sure. I liked it the old way better but both ways are good.

I seem to remember a little show called Disneyland, and when Walt and Ms. Disneyland "Tencennial" walked around they looked at both Pirates and the Haunted Mansion props, the effect they had on there was the same effect that they have brought to the "paintings" now, I think it is good that someone is paying attention to the classic works in Corporate Disney, they should do more of that. If you want to see what I am talking about I believe this segment is on the Haunted Mansion DVD, but don't quote me, I know it is on either that one or one of the Disney Treasures DVD's.

The portraits in the loading area have been changed, but it's difficult to describe. Madame Leota hovers in her crystal ball above the tabe. It's cool!

She's hot, even if she doesn't have a body...The last I noticed, which was some time ago, the voice of the woman saying "come back" as you leave the ride was changed too. It used to sound like she was say Ben, but now it's clearly come back.
