I was never lucky enough :(

to ride the people mover. When I was younger my parents didn't take us to DLR all but once and I was teeny. And I don't think I went on it. So by the time I was old enough to begin taking my own trips to DLR it was gone :(. Up until about 5 months ago I didn't even know what all the track was for in tomorrowland overhead. So I REALLY want it back... Does anyone have a moment to maybe tell me some of the cool parts of the ride? Any cool pictures? I've seen on ride videos from bigfloridacountry.com but the lighting was poor... Thanks :)

There was a thread in here on the People Mover and a link to a website about the PM and a petition to sign http://www.petitiononline.com/pplmover/petition.html
but that was sometime ago. I can't find the thread on it now  Maybe an admin knows where the link is and can move this to it :D

This site has some info on the PM http://www.yesterland.com/peoplemover.html

I loved going on that ride!

Oh and there is this site http://www.peopleforthepeoplemover.org/

My favorite parts:
The Tron speed hallway (hallway where the bad guy from Tron takes over and they did cool little speed animations on the sides and showed the light motorcycles, etc.)

Seeing the Xwing in the arcade and going through Star Tours

Speeding through the Space Mountain area as it went downhill

That sounds kind of cool. What part of star tours did it go through? They have to re-open it... all that track is such a waste. I mean look at the skyway... They closed that and filled the hole in on Matterhorn and left little evidence of it's existance. So they have to have plans for the people mover.....
