With the updated Small World, the Holiday light show was great.

I rode the train on Sunday night and went through the it's a small world facade only to see that the background color started to change to show a rainbow.

I previously saw it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpUmawAbLC4 but now it was great to see it in person.

Totally in agreement with Disney is better at night. Majority of the rides all seem a little more special at night to me. Big Thunder Mountain tops the list though...

That's because this is the Disneyland thread. SM is in Disneyland yeas but Ellen and RoR aren't.

Picky, picky, picky! It could also be because they're all dark rides! :P

I used to find the Jungle Cruise mildly boring (narration excepted) until I rode it at night. After that, I decided it rocked - as long as you were riding it at night.

My favorite rides at night are Thunder Mountain, and the Matterhorn, especially during the fireworks.

I don't think you're alone about Big Thunder. Anyone ever notice how the line for Big Thunder really grows at night? That kind of surprised me the first time I noticed it, since the ride doesn't change that much to me.

It does get long but the line goes fast because they do fast loading. Same with Matterhorn.

Although daylight is not a factor, I always ride PoC at night because it is never crowded.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Although have you ever noticed that the dark rides are even darker at night? I definitely have noticed that for PotC and HM. No light leaks.

Be sure to ride Matterhorn which looks like you already did, but also ride BTM, SM and Indie is always fun. :D

We rode the RR at ight and were stopped in the Toontown depot when the fireworks started. The CMs warned us ahead of time that the fireworks would be starting soon and that they would be quite loud since we were so close to the launch site. Once we got moving again, we finally reached our destination and ended up watching the rest of the show from TL. Awesome!
