Superstar Limo

Post by G2-4T » Jan Fri 07, 2005 8:24 pm

So how many of you got to ride it? I was lucky and rode it before the park was offically open but a year later it was history. Anyone know of word to replace it?

Personally I'd like to see them replace that and Millionaire with a version of the Great Movie Ride but with different classic films. It'd fit the Hollywood theme and wouldn't be outdated like Millionaire [and Superstar Limo which is why I heard it closed...]

i only got to ride that once, and even if it were still there i would probably skip it. i wouldnt mind a Great Movie Ride type thing- a homage to the classics is a nice idea. the one at MGM seems like it could use a makeover though.

I rode it once and I honestly don't remember much about it. It seems to me that it had a lot of flat "cardboard cutout" people.

I never rode it myself (heck I've never actually been to Disneyland) but from what I hear this ride was just AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!!! Fortunately word has just come in and it is a virtual lock that a monsters inc ride will be going where the Limo ride is, unfortunately the ride will not be the door ride that so many people thought would get built when the movie was released, it will be more of your standard dark ride stuff.

It really wasn't that bad but not up to the high standards of Disney. A Monsters ride would be good - with the new management I have hope that they'll do a good job on it. So what is going to fill the empty Millionaire building?

I've heard better things about superstar limo in the past. Nothing special, eh? Maybe I don't want it ported to WDW after all.

Superstar Limo was covered in detail a few months back. Search the forums for some funny commentary.

Maybe someone can post a link? (hint: moderators)

Never got to ride it. But my friend is a CM and she told me they are going to be replacing it, and she told me what they're putting there. She said not to tell anyone, all I can say is that it's from another Disney park. I don't want to give too much away, maybe later I can say more....

OK, it's later!!!! Maybe you can say more????? Must... Know... Now...

So, she said it's from another park, eh??? All the rumors I had heard before had them making a Monsters Inc driving ride there, but I don't think any park has that. What they should do - if there's enough room - is put in Rockin' Rollercoaster. That would give DCA 2 E-Ticket rides in that same area!!!

He does have a point, it is later  I've heard that Millionaire and the empty lot next to it [by MuppetVision] will be a part of RnR and SL will become Monsters Inc. More on the lines of rumor than fact when I heard it though...

Ack, how'd I let this thread slip by?

highlighted for your protection

Myself, I'd never gotten the chance to ride superstar limo (seeing as how the first time I'd even been to DCA was last april). I don't think I'm missing much based on what's been said here and the comments that are thrown around at mouseplanet.
