Dreamflights and Horizons definitely did the cardboard cut-outs, it could be we're so used to what Disney did there that SSL just reminds us of it...

Thank you mindflipper ~ just to double check I just watched a youtube video of Super Star Limo. I guess I was just thinking about the backgrounds being mostly cutouts.
