I have a client booking her first DL trip who is interested in an offsite stay at the Candy Cane Inn - any opinions on that property?

We have stayed there twice and liked it a lot. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was decent to start the day. We liked that we could bring our breakfast back to the room or sit at one of the outdoor tables. The pool was nice it is only 5 feet at the deepest but still very nice to cool down. The setting of the property is beautiful lots of flowers, plants and palm trees. They are tending the grounds daily and it shows.
They have a shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. The walk to the park is about ten minutes if you prefer. We walked a few times and it wasn't that bad. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will go back again.
They have a virtual tour on their website.

Thanks disneylandmom! I shot my client their website and we've actually booked her trip already. They wanted something close - a 10 minute walk is perfect. Looks and sounds like a nice offsite choice - appreciate the mini review.

Just got back from a stay last weekend in fact!! The Candy Cane Inn is great, and highly suggest it! I agree with everything that Disneylandmom said. It's very close to the park, and the walk is nice and shaded almost the entire way. One of the best things about it is that it is still very small and intimate even though it's close to the parks. All of the employees are very helpful and courteous. The breakfast is pretty good for a free continental. My family has stayed there about 4 or 5 times in the past 10 years, and we've never encountered any problems. They're actually the highest rated hotel in all of the Anaheim (out of 99 others) at TripAdvisor, if that's any indication. If you're not interested in staying on site, I very highly suggest Candy Cane Inn!

AKLRULZ, I haven't stayed there personally but I have heard about the same as everyone else is staying there. I can offer my help on several of the hotels in the area if you ever need it. The ones that I have stayed at so far are:
1. Portofino -

2. Ana Bella -

3. and soon the Alpine inn -

My family stayed at the Candy Cane all the time when I was growing up. It was there or the Tropiciana those are the only 2 my parents would stay at. That was many moons ago, but we never had a bad experience at the Cane. I personally had a few bad experiences with other off sites, so I always go back to the Cane when staying off site.

We always stay at off site properties, but to date have not stayed at the Candy Cane Inn. Based on these reviews, it will probably be next on our list. Thanks for the previous posts.
