I LOVE the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room, but I also LOVE Fantasmic's music. You can imagine what is happening at every point in the show just by the music. It is so powerful.

Never been to the original park, but I'd vote for The Tiki Room theme too. Unless Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing is an original song, but I'm not sure on that one. Grim Grinning Ghosts is a close second.

I love Pirates :] All-time fave. And Thunder too...when I was little I loved when he said "hold on to your hats and glasses, cuz this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!" Haha so much fun!

"Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing" is a Richard & Robert Sherman original, just like the main Tiki Room theme. However, the "Hawaiian War Chant" and the "Offenbach" piece ("You stay off of my back, and I'll stay off of your back!") are not. I think this might just be my favorite piece too. But the Tiki Room theme and "Grim Grinning Ghosts" are close runners-up. As are "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" (also a Sherman Bros. number) and "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Pirate's Life for Me" (it's so hard to choose!).DisBeamer wrote:Never been to the original park, but I'd vote for The Tiki Room theme too. For the record, the music from Splash Mountain is all from "Song of the South." The three main themes are: "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah," "Ev'rybody's Got a Laughing Place," and "How Do You Do." Not that anyone could know that, since they haven't released the film in any format for about 20 years. [grrr...] However, some of the tracks do show up on "Disney Classics" collections.

Love Love Love Fantasmic!! When it first came out, my sisters and I listened to the cd ad nauseum. We even made up our dance to the music. We still know some of those dance steps!! We were (are?) so lame.
Now with my baby, when we listen to it, he gets excited at the opening music and bounces up and down to it.
The apple doesn't fall very far from the tree, I guess.
