Here's my top list:
Space
Grizzly
Big Thunder
Splash
Matterhorn

Although it's sad to see Matterhorn so low on a ranking, it's still an amazing ride.

I chose Splash Mountain. It does have the best soundtrack and is pure fun. Space Mountain carries a mysterious element of unfulfilled exploration and adventure to it, and Big Thunder Mountain is by all means excellently themed. However, my vote was cast more than anything based upon the interconnecting, underlying story as a whole, first only to each attraction's theming.

It is amazing how many mountains they fit into Disneyland's 60+ acres!
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I've recently gotten much happier with Matterhorn as of late. Perhaps its the new remodel or whatever, but thats a pretty wild ride, flirting so close to the sides. Its absolutely jerky, but I think that sorta adds to the "out of control" fun style. :)

I love Space Mountain-- it's totally thrilling. Of course, I really like the other mountain rides as well, but if I could only ride one I'd pick Space. I never turn down the chance to ride that one.

Whatever. Matterhorn has them all beat it's a classic and it's in the rollercoaster history books as the first steel tube rollercoaster in the world.

The "Mountain" rides are not amoung my favorites, although I do like them nonetheless. Roller Coasters are fun, and Disney's are exceptional, but my favorite rides are more of the ride through genre. None the less, my favorite from an esthetic point of view is the Matterhorn, from a themeing point of view is Big Thunder, and forhaving a fun time, Space Mountain is number one.

Oh, one more thing, If we were raiting Disney World's Mountains, Splash would take number one, I am always disapointed by the California version because Florida's is far superior.
