Ive had some discussions with friends as to which park is better at the Disneyland Resort. I was actually surprised at all the different answers I was getting and was curious to see how the listeners of subsonic radio would vote. What do you prefer?
As for me....I think im a DCA guy. Its got a lot of potential and has some great rides!

The Magic Kingdom exists at Walt Disney World. Disneyland exists at the Disneyland Resort. That being said, a vote for DCA here is just silly. It may have potential, but Disneyland is still the crown jewel of the theme park universe, Disney or otherwise.

But don't they refer to Disneyland as the Magic Kingdom as well? Even though Magic Kingdom is what they call it at WDW, it is not incorrect to call Disneyland the Magic Kingdom...well that's what I thought.
And yeah, Disneyland all the way. For me, even if DCA got all the cool rides it will never top Disneyland.

Excuse my error for that, ive always known it as the magic kingdom just because they're somewhat similiar. But im sure you all get the jidst of what im asking here.
Yes, The Magic Kingdom should actually be Disneyland Park for all those who don't understand what im asking.

Yea...thats what i though too. On the tram they have referred to it as magic kingdom. But i guess it is called disneyland park per the disney website.

Disneyland's nickname, among others, is "the magic kingdom"... but The Magic Kingdom is in Florida. See the difference? It's certainly not the official way to refer to the park.

Call me CRAZY, but I don't even consider them in the same category as they are totally different. I guess I kind of think of the question as if it were which do you like more Sea World or Knotts Berry Farm or Magic Mountain? They are two totally different experiences. It is the end of a very long work day so I may not be understanding the question at this point and if that is the case I am sorry.

I voted for Disneyland. There really is no contest in my opinion. If I could go to one park for the rest of my life, it would be Disneyland. I absolutely love DCA, and have gone there several times without stopping at Disneyland because I wanted to relax at the park (this is when I had APs). I think DCA gets dumped on undeservedly a lot, but it really can't compete with Disneyland. I would say IMO, but it's just a universal truth

Disneyland, hands down. Everyone else pretty much summed up why I feel this way, so no need to repeat it.

Disneyland, no question. California Adventure has potential (especially with a rumored large dollar upgrade), but it's missing the magic that can be found only at the original.

Well, i guess this was a dumb question to ask then haha!! I guess DCA cant compete with DL. I totally thought there would be someone else out there who liked DCA a little more...on the other hand DL is always great to go to. I still love going there

Magic Kingdom at Disneyland.
Of course, I never saw DCA completed; they were just getting to ground-breaking the last time I was there. But from what I've seen of it, it doesn't really interest me. Just seems like MGM and Epcot smushed into the old parking lot.

DCA is actually quite good and definitely has its own vibe that is quite different from other Disney parks. The Grizzly Peak area is wonderful to sit and relax, as is the Pacific Wharf and Paradise Pier areas. It's also a good park to visit, as it generally isn't as crowded as Disneyland, and a great place to take a little break from the chaos. I'd suggest that everyone visit at least once, as long as they're visiting DLR for 2+ days

Disneyland. But...
Disneyland does have a 40-ish year head start on DCA. Give DCA another 10 to 15 years to grow and mature, and we'll see what we think then.

I totally agree with you! I think in another 5 - 10 years there will definitely be some great additions and changes to come. Paradise pier is simply amazing and I totally love just kicking back in the grizzly peak area. It definitely does break away from the chaos that ensues at disneyland...great place to relax
