Hello Everyone!

Well I am moving to Beaumont, CA at the end of October and I was really considering purchasing an annual passport to DLR. Since I will not have to work and I can stay home with my kids I was considering purchasing one for my son as well so that when he has days off from school or even holiday breaks I could take him anytime I want. Does anyone live about an hour away from DLR that has an annual passport or is it a waste to purchase one because I am an hour away? I really dont think Beaumont, CA is that far from DLR but then again I have not lived in So cal in soooo long that I dont know if traffic in the OC is even worse than it was. Any info will help in making my decision. Thanks a bunch!

I live more than an hour away, in San Diego, and I am getting an annual passport. For a Deluxe Pass, if you go four times in 365 days it is paid for. I have had AP's in the past and have been sitting around on a Sat afternoon and decided to go up for the rest of the day. I think they are worth it. One tip, definately pay to have parking added to the pass, if you are not getting a Premium, it is totally worth it as parking is now $11 per day.

Beaumont, while hot!!!, is not too far away. I think you should get the pass if you're intersted. I used to have passes when we lived in Lake Arrowhead, which was about 2 and a half hours away, but we were still able to make it out a lot. Hope you have a good move!

Thanks for the info. It really helps! I think I am finally sold on the annual passport. I am considering getting the one with no blackout dates and I noticed they have one with parking and a stroller included. Since I have a toddler as well that will be perfect!

Totally worth it to get the passes! They pay themselves off, especially when you go more than 2 times. I have the southern California annual passport which gives me a lot of Sundays to go. Which, i think, are the best days to go with all the crowds on Saturdays. Either way you will be happy with this purchase. Have fun at the parks!!

I have to agree here. I live in Philadelphia and I get a Deluxe AP every year. I think the going rate for a 5-day Park Hopper is $225 and my AP new would have been $239 (I just renew and get it for $229). I get it and I plan a second trip out to DL before it expires, like this year I went in Aug. so next year I will try to go before it expires then I will renew again.

annual passes are the way to go if you want to go multipal times in the year. they pay for themselves

I had read before that it's cheaper to get an AP if you purchase an X number of days Park Hopper. I had forgotten that and will have to try to remember that for our next scheduled big trip.

I think a first AP would also be a cool souvenir.
