Yesterland has posted some classic Disneyland aerial pics.

Cool how you can see how the park was surrounded by nothing in the beginning. And in 5 years how much had already changed.
UPDATE
Here is a link to a current aerial shot

That is pretty cool! Thanks for the link. I need to look on Google for the DL today and look at the difference.

That is very cool.
I am an aerial photography junkie. Before Google Maps and Google Earth, about 5 years ago, I paid $500 to get a high resolution image of Orlando including WDW, only a year later they were available free on Mapquest and shortly after on Google

Nice view! I say tear down the parking lot at the bottom left, tear down paradise pier hotel, and the other parking lot there to make room for the third gate!

Thanks for sharing the pictures, rdeacon. It is amazing how Disneyland changed in five years.

What's crazy about those pictures are the surrounding area. Too bad Walt didn't immediately take the money Disneyland was making and buy the surrounding land. Now it is so urbanized.

That is crazy with the amount of build up!

Thank goodness for lessons learned with the Orlando property.
