DisneyLand and California Adventure in one day?

As the title asks, is it possible to go both in one day? I'm thinking no..

I've done it. It just depends on what your into. I'm not a rollercoaster guy so that eliminates several long lines right there. But I do stay until midnight most of the time so I get to do a lot in a day.

I think one day wouldn't be enough especially if you plan on doing any of the major rides or seeing any of the shows or parades. I think you could walk through both parks in one day but would miss a lot.

Yah since it is my first time to DisneyLand I think I will just go to the main park its self. Thanks for your opinions.

It can be done, if you time everything just right. I did them both on the first day hitting all the low que lines.

I think California Adventure is much more of a relax and enjoy the day park, but I'm sure you could do both on the same day. I find it's more fun to relax and people watch at DCA than at Disneyland (if that's even possible).

You can do both parks in the same day but like catfish28 said, you have to time everything right and you have to be on a schedule so that you can go from one thing to the other. Normally when we go I usually make one day of my trip strictlly for DCA because I do not like to be rushed....

I've done both in one day 3 times. I will say this, though: it's exhausting and you have to know exactly what you want to accomplish.

If it's your first time, I think going to both in one day would be overwhelming, and if you're going to pick between one and the other to do first (or only), then go for Disneyland. :-) I like the DCA, but to me it's not much of a stand-alone park to me, much as I hate to say that about any Disney place.

I have done both in 1 day. We did California Adventure when it got too crowded in the afternoon at DL. California Adventure wasn't too busy, so we were able to visit in the afternoon, and then head back to DL for the evening and nighttime. So, it can be done.

Like most others, I have gone to both DL and DCA in one day. I wouldn't advise going to both if it is your first visit though.

You should just do DL since it's your first time. Take the time to enjoy and experience it and immerse yourself in the magic.

While I really enjoy DCA, I'm not sure if there is really enough to do for an intire day there. We usually get everything in though 6-7 hours. Afterwards, we go to DL. I know we don't get everything in @ DL, but we just consider that a bonus.
