When was your last visit to Disneyland?

I'm with you, mindflipper. I have been growing weary of seeing the construction and the construction walls every time I go.

I've yet to go and I live a day away... yet I think I'll wait till all this construction I keep hearing about is done.

I want to say that at the last expo, the rumblings were mentioning CARSLAND opening in June 2012...however, I don't know if that's at all accurate. Who knows if they are on schedule or not with the attractions. (I hope they don't cut corners to save time either...) I know they have mentioned Summer 2012.

The progress has been going slow but surely. They haven't finished any of the rides or anything but the rock exterior seems to be getting real close to completion.

Hi Sub ... not to add to your sadness but I myself am a WDW guy! However ... that said ...

My wife and I are seriously considering a vacation to California next Summer and would absolutely love to visit Disneyland for 3 or 4 days. My only question is as follows:

We're used to having SO MUCH to do at WDW that you can never get it all done. Is that the case at DL? Can you actually spend days there? How does it compare? Etc ... thanks a ton for the info. We're excited about the possibility of going to DL!

It all depends. I can walk through the park in one day and I wouldn't have gotten everything done. I'd say maybe take a weekend trip there, spend about two days at each park and hope you can get through the parks during that amount of time and with the crowds.

That's sort of what I was thinking. If you are going at a slow time of year, 4 or 5 days is perfect since you have enough time to see everything and then experience any favorites a few more times.

It really depends on the time of year you go. Plus keep in mind, if it will be summer or after the new Carsland should be open at DCA and crowds are liable to be insane around there.

It does depend upon the crowds. I did both parks in 2 days on November long ago, and even rode several rides multiple times...

My last trip was a month ago. Disneyland is my go to vacation. Nemo is still a long wait. Developing a very strong affinity for California Adventure too.

I love both resorts...In the past 18 months I have taken 3 Disney trips....1 to WDW and 2 to DLR. I was most recently at DLR in May of this year for a week. Next DLR trip is in April '12 I am thinking.

TOO long ago!! And my last trip wasn't very pleasant, so I don't really count that one. I have been to WDW since then, and I love it there, but in my heart I am a Disneyland girl.
