I completely understand why they moved it...how else would you be able to conduct World of color showings and have the party? BUT, I think they would have been better off not showing WoC on those specific Tuesdays and Fridays and leave the party at DCA. Also, closing DL at 7pm on Fridays for the party??? What is that???? The park is always open late on Fridays and Saturdays! That's crazy! I am also disappointed in the fact that Halloween Screams is going to be exclusive to the party.

It's easier to do it that way. Plus, I think since DLR has the Haunted Mansion, it'd make it even better? Who knows.

Halloween Screams is only going to be available to those who pay extra for the party?? That's just wrong! As Al Lutz said, the only way to conquer this one is to boycott (easy for me to say since I won't be there during Halloweentime anyhow ;) ). Still, that would be a great way to bring back the fireworks for everyone.

I think they expect the World of Color will be popular and they probably don't want to interrupt is schedule for at least the first six months.

I agree...I figured that's why they moved the party.

Ok, so aside from the comments made earlier in this thread about boycotting the party....

Has anyone out there actually attended it? We were toying with the idea simply because the timing would be in our favor. But, I'm not sure if it would be worth it or not.

All this talk about the party in WDW is making me salivate... It sounds fabulous, but I'm not sure if we should attempt the DL party or not.

I am going to attend at least one night while I'm out there in 2 weeks. Either the 15th, or 19th, or both. It is about as much as MK's and I went to MNSSHP 4 times in one trip a few years ago. (I LOVE HALLOWEEN)

I was just browsing though what goes on during Halloween at other parks. I am a little jealous of the depth that HK disney does, they have walk through stuff (haunted hotel and an alien ship). Though Paris seems to look like they went crazy with buckets of orange paint.

I hope things don't ever get like HKDL or DLRP here in the U.S. We have plenty of other parks in the country that go for the scary aspect of Halloween. Let Disney continue to have the funny/cute aspect. After all, the kids have got to have somewhere to go for Halloween!;)

The DLRP doesn't appear to be scary at all, just silly. The HK spaceship is a little like phantom manor, some silly some scary, and the haunted hotel is like ghost galaxy with more thrills and scares.

I really wanted to see the fireworks this year. Oh well, maybe next year I shell out the money. Doc, take video! Lol

I don't do video yet. My brother is in charge of that. I need to learn way more to be able to do it, plus I don't have a video camera....Unless I snatch his.
