I heard through the grapevine Mickey's Halloween Trick or Treat Party may move to Disneyland this year because of World of Color Opening.
I really hope not. It is a popular event but moving it to Disneyland. Would do a dis-service to guests at Disneyland Resort. WOC will close half it rides by 8 p.m. Disneyland will most likely close by 5 p.m. to get ready for TOT Party.
Having been to Disneyland on a Friday evening already puts lots of pressure on a single park when DCA closes early.

Re: Halloween Time
The Gingerbread house thingy in the Holiday Haunted mansion is different every year, it is an actual gingerbread creation made by the head dessert chef at the resort. As for the "re-vamped Holiday Haunted Mansion" every year they tweak a few things that didn't work the previous year. They also add in new effects that you really don't notice unless you have a great memory. This year the revamped is the fact that they painted a lot of stuff after the removal of the HHM in January. I haven't heard of any big new things but if I do I will let you all know immediately.

Re: Halloween Time
The stuff that was repainted were things like the move walk ways and escalator, but that happens often and many of the props and the character that are in the HHM since they were starting to show their age, not much so far. I have heard inklings of a possible scene change, but I hear that every year, sort of like the new videos for soarin rumors....

Re: Halloween Time
I'm with ya on that one! I love Patrick Warburton and I can't get enough of Soarin'! Now, it would make sense if they changed the video for WDW's version since Soarin' Over California doesn't make sense in Florida...but as long as there's a CA theme running through DCA, Soarin' should stay as is.elizabethswann wrote:New videos for Soarin'? Re: Halloween Time
Wanna talk about celebrating Halloween? I discovered recently on YouTube a video of how DLP celebrated one Halloween with the Phantom Manor. It's a projection show on the manor itself, which is covered with totally with white sheets. Interestingly enough, it was in 2004, before Disney did similar projections on IASW at DLR during the 50th Annivesary celebrations. Here's the link:

Yes! I do recall seeing the projections on IASW. I loved that show that they did before they turned on the lights for IASW Holiday and I hope they do it again.
