Halloween Time

Has anyone been to the new Halloween celebration at Disneyland? I saw some pictures and the decorations look really fun. Any thoughts? Reviews? How does it compare to Disney World's Halloween?

I do not know how it compares to WDW, but we really enjoyed the decorations and all at Disneyland. We especially enjoyed the storytelling outside of HTH. They had a real Twilight Zone feel to them. The Woody's Halloween Roundup show was okay (my kids liked it). The Pumpkin Festival Show on Main Street at Disneyland was corny, but the little kids liked it and got to participate.

Nope, I missed it, but heard it was pretty cool. Not too much different if you've been for HMH.

The coolest part of visiting was Mickey's Halloween Party and riding all of the rides in costume during the party.
A very merry unbirthday to you!

Never been to Disneyland during Halloween time, perhaps soon because I might be moving to my uncles house.

By the way, I heard it was "Not so scary"
Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.

Love RCT3

Alright folks, it's getting to be that time of year again. The Halloween plans are being announced! Here's what I've heard:
New Fireworks Starring Jack Skellington
New Ghost Galaxy Space Mountain

Any other good rumors out there?

We are hoping to do a trip to California next year and wondering if we should plan for after Halloween or closer to Christmas. We'd like to do Small World for the Holidays but we don't want to miss Oogie at the Haunted Mansion. Plus, we wondered about weather, crowds, etc.

Any and all information and suggestions are welcome.
Should we stay on property, do they offer specials, or just in the area?

I don't have many rumors about the Halloween events but I do have a pic or two of the decorations for this year. They had them up for a commercial shoot during my visit last month. I will post them later, have to finish editing them first.

I prefer going more toward Christmas. You might check to see how long the Haunted Mansion overlay is up - you might be able to have the best of both worlds! If you're coming from the midwest, either time is a great time for shorts!!

Usually HMH is up from the Halloween season through the Christmas season. Personally, I prefer the Christmas season too.

I agree, MmeLeota. I prefer Xmas at DL. I think its better decorated than MK at WDW.

Xmas is always amazing at Disneyland - it really can't be beat. Although I do like the old-timey halloween deco on main street and of course HMH :)
