Golden Screams

Post by soccermouse » Sep Tue 19, 2006 2:03 pm

In the new Disneyland Podcast, they mention transforming Golden Dreams into Golden Screams for the Fall. Does anyone have an inside scope about what that will be like?

I read on a site that inside they will show clips of scary moments in Disney films and cartoon shorts. The outside will be a meet and greet for Disney characters. I'm guessing the characters will either be villains or the Mickey and the gang in costumes.

The annual passholder newsletter for october mentions this briefly. Golden Dreams will show classic disney spooky clips, and the audience will get to vote on their favorites. There will usually be a meet-n-greet with the villains, as well.

Kinda dumb

Post by soccermouse » Oct Thu 26, 2006 12:10 pm

REPORTING BACK: We were not that excited by Golden Screams. It is kinda like an awards show - they show you clips from 6 disney villians and you vote with your screams as to which one you thought was best (scariest). There is a twist at the end that I won't give away.

Just give it away, you can make it in white and have people select the text. :) I don't plan on going on it.

OKAY. If you want to know who wins the award, then highlight the invisible text below.

Walking in to the Golden Screams Theater, they had my kids and other kids scream for a Cast Member. He wrote down their names. At the end of the Awards Show, they announced a surprise winner and named someone from the audience off their list of names. They brought them up to the front and gave them a certificate (my kids were not picked).

Was it worth going to or was it kind of a bummer?

Let me put it this way, we did not go back. It was way over the top.

Sounds like some thing is brewing.
Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.

Love RCT3
