Best place to video Fantasmic

Post by soccermouse » Sep Fri 08, 2006 3:01 pm

Where is the absolute best place to video tape the Fantasmic show. I have tried a couple of times, but have had a hard time getting the whole show/all the effects. Any suggestions?

You would probably want to be a little farther way to catch any of the boats that are on the river. Especially, my favorite, Peter pan on the Columbia. A place I love to go is behind the Stage Manager booth. The crew keeps the light tower down until 15 minutes before the show. People don't stand there because they don't know the tower will go up. This means you can arrive 20 minutes before the show and get a great spot. Though, as DLR becomes an AP haven more and more people know about this location.

That is a great place because you will know you are exactly dead center for the show. The booths are always in the center so they get the best view and best sound (so they know if one channel needs to be louder). My brother and I setup at various locations and one of the best was just off to the left(when looking at the river) from the booth, there are stairs and as long as you are to one side they let you stay there.
