Any news on the Nemo Ride?
After I went to Disneyland in January everyone was pumped up for the Nemo Ride including me. What happened to the excitment? Has any serious work been done on it yet?
Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?

Yes there has been a ton of work done. The submarines are out in the lagoon dock areas and are being refurbished. The lagoon is dry for the second time now as the first was to reseal and refurbish the dock area and then filled to move the submarines out of the show building.
There are a ton and I do mean a ton of pictures out there if you go to the micechat forums. You can likely find pictures detailing most of the work from the moment the lagoon began draining (and yes I mean when the Mermaid hill first starting touching the air again) all the way to last week when the Monorail was closed so they can rebuild the queue under it. Much of it is repetitive but I am guessing this is one of the best documented ride builds in the history of Disney.
I hope that helps.

At DL it was never themed to 20,000 Leagues... it was "The Submarine Voyage" (maybe the long title was "Submarine Voyage Through Liquid Space") but the subs were yellow and not shaped like the Nautilus as at WDW.knedeau wrote:Seems like they are using the 20,000 leagues area.At wdw... they filled it in.

I agree, Walt's genius truly graced that film. Kirk Douglus was great in it I think. I wonder if they might combine some old stuff from the old attraction into the new one. For example: on Ellen they say something like, "Energy, you make the world go round!" for an advertisment on Jepordy. I wonder?

Slow loading
I remember the Subs as being an extremely slow loading ride. I wonder how DL will handle lines like they had when Pirates reopened. Tomorrowland is going to be a packed/crazy place.
Re: Slow loading
I agree, perhaps the loading system will change. It probably will, they might have to cater to wheelchair guests. I believe a law was passed, either state or country, in which all businesses need to be wheelchair accessable.soccermouse wrote:I remember the Subs as being an extremely slow loading ride. As far as long lines, I'm betting the lines are going to be huge, fortunately, the attraction is in the corner of Tomorrowland and has the space for a long line.
...the way things are going, Tomorrowland is becoming Pixarland.

I have only recently discovered 20,000 leagues and i love it. I am kinda sad i can't remember the old ride much but i am really looking forward to the new nemo version. when i was on autotpia a few weeks ago they had put up barriers on places in the ride, so you couldn't stop and see them building it.
Yes, this is my happy place! Well, when not in my happy place.
