Happy 51st, Disneyland!

Post by slotofkit » Jul Mon 17, 2006 1:46 pm

Well, it's July 17th, 2006 and that means it is Disneyland's 51st anniversary. I thought I'd post something because this is the first time in a few years that I couldn't be there on the official day.

So when does the 50th annaversary stuff end? If it's no longer the 50th, do they stop today, or does it go until the end of the year?
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

I believe it's going through December 31, if I'm not mistaken

Why does my Disney World calendar say it opened on July 15th?! They had me celebrating on the wrong day. Oh well, I don't mind celebrating twice.

Happy 51st birthday Disneyland! Many happy returns of the day.

I believe the celebration of the 50th will end when the holiday season begins, but I may be wrong. All I know is that I'm going in August well before it's done!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I think that that was a day that it was "open" just not to really anyone but people working there and Walt. I really have no idea though lol. Pretty amusing a Disney calendar got it wrong though

Actually, the 51st ends September 30. After that, the parks will go into their respective Halloween and Holiday theming, and then the "Year of A Million Dreams" promotion will start.
