Subsonic Radio

In case anyone is interested, I have posted for download on my blog a video I took of the Remember... Dreams Come True fireworks show back in September.

It's a compressed version for distribution on the web, but is still about 19MB big and 17 minutes long. It's the show in its entirety, from a vantage point in front of the castle, about 15 feet behind the walkway they carve out right in front (you can see the CMs with those light sticks every once in a while). The video was shot on Sony MiniDV tape with a Sony DCR-HC20 Handycam digital camcorder.

I watched a video of that show a while ago...man, is it good.

All the classic samples were so cool and the fireworks themselves were very well-done and well-integrated with the audio. The audio is real treat for people like us.

Hopefully there will be more of this kinda thing coming from Disney in the future...

Schnemo, agreed... All the audio clips really tug at the heartstrings, both of current favorites, and rides-gone-by...

bigthunderlover, I don't recall a Peoplemover clip... but I also appreciated the nod to Inner Space... had to explain that one to the fiancee when she heard it

Seriously, if you haven't checked this out and you're reading messages on this website, there's no way you won't enjoy the poop out of this thing. It's really a Disney fanboy's dream show.

I suggest you start downloading one and then watch it the next time someone requests an hour of Halloween parade music (gag!).

By the way, in that show, right after Tigger's bit (around 13 minutes in), there's a an evil giggling voice. Any idea what that's referencing? I'm thinking either the Evil Queen from Snow White or maybe the devils from Mr. Toad. I don't pay attention to Disneyfied Pooh, but I don't think any Pooh characters sound like that.

The Peter Pan, Alice, and Roger Rabbit references are all pretty clear, but I wonder how much I'm missing.

The Space Mountain reference is subtle, for example, and I love the reference to Inner Space, which probably has no meaning to the majority of people seeing the show each night, but warms a Disney nerd's heart.

(I just checked the wiki and they'd missed the monorail reference, so I added it. Making sure this page is accurate sounds like a job tailored just for us.)
