Anyone have an idea of where the renovations stand in terms of timeframe? When is the Nemo attraction slated to open?

I think, if memory serves correctly, Summer 2007. At least that is what all of the signs around the lagoon say.

Great to see - I've heard summer of 2007 as well, so more than a year away but at least now it looks better than just a lunar surface. Wait, maybe they were trying to tie into Tomorrowland and outer space with it being empty :D

They may have water in it but they still have to build the new building too, and the new docks, and probably put in the props as well. Maybe the filling was to see if they have any leaks.

New info alert! Check this out from MousePlanet:

"By [last] Wednesday the lagoon had been refilled with water and the entire fleet of eight submarines had been moved out into the lagoon. Seven of them are moored at the loading docks and the eighth is being used to perform various tests. The water will remain in the lagoon for a couple of weeks then all of the submarines will be moored at the loading platforms while the lagoon is again drained to allow for continuing installations. The submarines need to be removed from the tunnel to free up the space for work that needs to be done in the tunnel and storage sheds."

So I guess they will be draining the lagoon again, after all. :(
