Monsters Inc. the ride - I went on yesterday

Monsters Inc. is a definite improvement from Super Star Limo. It's also better than Winnie the pooh. They made much better choices for a dark ride and I felt they didn't skimp too much. The door room impressed me the most. I felt it was a little short though.

We waited an hour to ride. I don't think I'd wait more than 30-45 minutes to ride this again. Only because of the short factor. It's a definite visit though.

You know Sub that is the same thing I said to my brother. The line was to long for such a short ride. I definatly think they should have more cover over the main waiting area. The secondary one has complete cover from the sun and rain but you still have to wait for 30 min in the sun just before you get into the building.

When I was riding it I was thinking they should have had some George Sanderson saying's, because they had the locker with the various clothes and the hangers.

I agree, but how AWESOME was that last room with the ugly old monster lady? (I forget her name from the movie) I'm a big fan of the interactive stuff.

Is it one of those rides that will stay unique to Disneyland or do you guys think it will get replicated for the Studios or something in the future?

To be fair, neither of these statements says much.

But I know when the fiancee and I head down for her birthday in July, we'll wait in whatever line there is for this. Gotta try it, it's new!

I thought they already gave it the go ahead.

Yes, her name is Roz. I hear if you talk to her, she'll respond. Something like Turtle Talk. Is that true?

Yup, just like Turtle Talk. She speaks specifically to each car - scared the poop out of me the first time. "Hey you in the blue hat - wanna go out later tonight? Hey..why are you ignoring me!" I was wearing a blue hat and was most definitely ignoring her...

Me too! When are they going to do this ride at WDW? And don't tell me they are not planning it, please.

I wonder how it works.
Maybe the ride-op at load hits a button when people load that has something to do with it.

I thought it was just a high coincidence that Roz said, "Hey lady in the back, better keep an eye on your husband, he was winking at me"

Which is strange, because we just got married and were in the back. Hmm.
I highly doubt they pay someone to sit and talk through her though.

unique reply

We got a fairly unique response when we were on it from her as well.

That ride is great. One of the must see attractions of DCA.
