Just a few weeks ago i visited the Magic Kingdom in orlando and was very dissapointed in there decor for the holiday season. You would expect them to go all out. When you go to Disneylandi in California you see xmas decor everywhere its awsome. lets just say i was alittle disapointed in orlando.

Tell me what your thoughts are on this topic should the magic kingdome do more to decorate there park or do you thinks its fine just the way it is???

BT - when did you go to WDW? If it was right around Thanksgiving, they were delayed in putting up some of their park decor. I noticed it too (we go every year, same time) and asked about it during a private tour, and the comment was made that they were still 'in the process' of putting it all up. This was December 2.

Wow - that is really late for them, usually the day after Thanksgiving it starts and is in full swing by the weekend. The trees even show up on their big rig trailers pre-decorated ready for assembly - that is a sight to see in the parking lots! They usually park them in the back but in full view before they get cranes in to hoist them up...

The trees and garland and stuff was all up, even the day before Thanksgiving, but it was the little touches, like the giant ornaments on the tees at the golf courses, or the merchandising displays or window treatments that was slow to go up. There was still a lot of decorations to be had, including the signature trees. :D

bigthunder249,
I have never been to Magic Kingdom, but I think that all theme parks especially Disneyland should be decorated for the holidays. :mickey:

Wow, we were at WDW for Christmas 2005 and I thought the decorations were magnificent at the parks and the resorts. However, that said, I've not been to DL for Christmas.

Disneyland, because of the scale difference to WDW, seems much more festive during the holidays. It seems that every inch is decorated. Absolutely the MOST magical time to visit, especially if you are experiencing snow/cold in the midwest!
