Hey Disnoids - check it out!

Post by ickymouse » Nov Mon 28, 2005 1:51 pm

Check out the November issue of Los Angeles Magazine. There's a really great article about us Disneyland-heads - I guess we're "Disnoids" now. It's pretty funny and right on the mark about a lot of things. And who knows - you may even show up in print...

If you call me a Disnoid, I'll kick you in the ding-ding.

Can you give us a quick summary of the article? If I'm going to be branded a "Disnoid" I would like to know why. Sounds like a android-ish thing.

It basically talks about the fans that love the park - sometimes a little too much. It also addresses the effect that Al Lutz, David Koenig, Jim Hill and Disneyland Resort President Matt Ouimet had on getting the park back on track towards it's original lustre and quality. It's worth the $3.95 if you're a Disneyland fan, er..."Disnoid".

Interesting choice of names... Any chance it is online somewhere for those of us light years away from LA?

I just checked on LA Magazine's website - apparently the issue is not available online just yet - wait a week for it to appear and I'm sure they'll probably have it on line.

Looks like someone it going to get his ding-dong kicked.

Icky,
Is a "Disnoid" considered someone who's blindly faithful to Disney?

I looked for the article, but wasn't even sure if I was on the right website. Is it online yet?

For some reason, Los Angeles Magazine's website doesn't have a link to any features in the November issue (Where the article appeared). I have contacted them to see if I can get an online transcript of the aritcle. Their website's pretty lame, so don't get your hopes up.

Did anyone get a copy of the article? I went online to their website to see if I could find it and it was not to be found. I wonder if we have to wait for it to go into the achieves before we can view it online? I wonder if they have the mag at Borders or Barnes & Noble back here in New England.........I will have to check it out.

I went to the site but you can't get a back issue. Can you tell us what the name of the article was, or where it was featured (section)? Because on the site you can search the individual stories.
