Splash and Matterhorn get longer rehabs because they have to go through everything. Since Matterhorn has two sets of tracks, it'll take twice as long to inspect both sides of the tracks/mountain to make sure everything's good. Like what Amy said, Splash has a huge number of audio animatronics to go through. They drain the water so they can walk the track and have a looooong trail to go through plus the large drop.

Anyone know if Splash is different length wise at DL and MK? Splash at MK has an annual rehab every January. Unless Splash at DL hasn't had a refurb in a very long while, I don't see why it would be closed for 4 months as they both have a lot of animatronics (some have even been turned off at MK because of constant need of maintenance). :?

I don't know why either as far as rehab lengths; I know WDW Splash Mtn is longer in ride length than DLR's - could that contribute to it?

I'm not totally sold on those reasons since I would imagine they would want to do the job as efficiently as possible and even with AA's, the ride can run with them off show. I wonder if the rides are just rougher on the tracks and cars than comperable rides? More along the lines that just the nature of the beast I guess.

I like them! I really like the style. Wish there were more posters for different attractions at DL and WDW.

Spotted a nice map of DCA when it is finished from all the construction (Carsland, Red Car Trolley, etc.).

I think it's in the Blue Sky Cellar at DCA so I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the update on Monday.

No, but it sounds like a great idea for Apple's marketing people to see about as a new feature for the next Smartphone upgrade!
