True but things like, just as an example, Monster's were total gut and rebuild from scratch, but the sub ride was a:
"oh let's keep this, and this, and this, but loose that over there, and keep that thing hanging from the ceiling. Oh and trash everything else touching those" kind of a build. now that takes a long time to finish.
...and also Lasseter coming in and saying "make it better!" A good thing if you ask me. A E ticket ride should not "come out of nowhere."

Silly people, no need to be sad. Disney always announces an opening date. Regardless of if its finished, they usually open the ride that day anyway. Plus, if you are there until 1 week before, you'll probably see it running, while they test things. wink wink

looks can be deceiving. The outside can be finished well before the inside. I bet there is still a lot to do before it opens. Does anyone know if the subs are back in the tank yet? That will be a signal that they will start testing the programing next.

I'm just glad them got an Imagineer that loves the ride, that should make it work great. It is basically like taking a Disney fan and putting them in charge of the whole thing.

Wow, thanks for the link! I really loved that ride, so I'm sad to see it gone. At the same time though, I am excited for the new one.
