There is apparently some butt-hurt over the change in voice actors for Mara as well. James Earl Jones was replaced by Neil Patrick Harris. The script changes appear to have been minimal to the point that they could have edited the original audio. This possibly could be a contract issue and the actor did not or was unavailable to record content, or they may be expanding the voice overs beyond the first segment of the ride.

That is interesting. I saw some comments where people were complaining that the new voice sounded like an untrained teenager. It will be interesting to see it in person. Will you be able to go soon and give us a firsthand account of the changes Wizz? You know you'd like to have lunch there soon right? ;)

Probably not until the end of the month, whenever they start opening after 9 or 10. Once the crowd index gets low enough we can start going to DTD for lunch again.

Oh, those effects are much nicer than the old rooms, especially now that they give them a more unique look. Also nice that they modified the light to the treasure/reward room since it used to always be the same color but now it reflects the door you enter in.

That is kind of strange that they would use the Imagineering showcase to show off a new store location. But I guess when you have nothing major near completion but want it to be fresh, you have to go with what is there.

I don't follow how, if they did close off the court of angels, it would be "milking more money out of Club 33 members" by turning it into a lobby. Also, the court itself hasn't been a quiet place to do anything in for a while since prior to being used for the Pirates makeover thing, it was used for retail space and drawings.

Hmmmm Moustaches may cost $5, but moustache rides are always just a quarter. :D

Just got a notice, looks like DCA will be hosting a few "after hours" AP parties next month. It is to help promote the re-re-re-release of the little mermaid on Blu-Ray.

Latest update from Micechat: Summer comes to an end as Halloween continues to creep in at Disneyland, etc.

Still sad over the loss of Court de Anges in NOS for Club 33 because that's my favorite spot in the park to relax and get great photos.

It would be kind of odd to use the court for the entry since they would need to build an elevator so that they would be in line with ADA compliance. That and I would imagine the members would be a little crestfallen if they could no longer see/use the elevator in the original lobby, which follows Disney's motto of "If you can't come up with an original design, steal someone else's" :D.

They seem to have needed less time for HMH this year, which is always kind of surprising since there is only so much you can before you have to start installing. Unlike Ghost Galaxy which can switch back in like a day.

I'm guessing they have a ton of people working on HMH to get it done quicker especially since there's so many little details that go in with it.

They have always had a ton of people, but there is still an upper limit. Since, if I recall, the ride has no large openings into the actual ride area, they have to assemble much of it in place. I think they said, when it first was introduced, the gingerbread house had to be built on site.

Ghost Galaxy is one they are able to set up while the ride is still running since they have only to install projectors, screens, and make sure everything is in sync as well as swap out the video clip and set up the projection mapping for the exterior.

I forgot to mention, I am kind of surprised they are going to use the original "Mermaid Pornstar" starbucks logo (with her nipples covered). I wonder if people will start to complain when they realize what they are looking at.

Looks like Micechat jumped the gun on this and the courtyard is not going to be used for the Club expansion. It is my understanding that members can book a tour of the club expansion preview center starting today, so we should hear more "real" details rather than rumors.
