I am somewhat surprised they have not simply stopped showing muppet vision all together, it is a 20 year old attraction.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
It was always a full show when we were there. Plus with the new Muppet movie in production, I bet it will get some renewed interest. It could benefit from an update, but I still like it the way it isWizzard419 wrote:You and apparently 10 other people each day.

Yes, I meant people who were actually entertained.
Considering there have been a few movies (if I recall) and a tv show since it came out and they still haven't updated, I am guessing that day will not come. That and 3D movies in a theater presentation are kind of dated.

But they keep releasing movies in 3D more and more ~ Disney and non-Disney ~ and people are certainly attending them...Wizzard419 wrote:Yes, I meant people who were actually entertained.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
I think it's ridiculous that they keep using the Muppetvision 3D theater for movie stuff. It's pointless and I get upset because if I want to see the Muppets, something is in its place.

So has MuppetVision 3D been discontinued in DL? That's sad!elizabethswann wrote:I think it's ridiculous that they keep using the Muppetvision 3D theater for movie stuff. It's pointless and I get upset because if I want to see the Muppets, something is in its place.

Yes, when you are paying for them and they are getting actual return. Big difference from a thing in a theme park.Amy wrote:But they keep releasing movies in 3D more and more ~ Disney and non-Disney ~ and people are certainly attending them...Wizzard419 wrote:Yes, I meant people who were actually entertained.

It's not crazy that they are reusing the theater for other movies, it must get more foot traffic than the existing show.

I'm surprised its not more crowded at DLR, because it has had the crowds every time I've been to it at DHS at WDW.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
I honestly am not fully surprised by this. I have only seen WDW crowded during SWW and that was because everything else was running a good 30-40 minute wait. It's location in DCA just doesn't seem to attract that much traffic, it is an old attraction, and people are not really coming to the park for it. An update would be nice, but I don't think we will ever see that happen. Unfortunately, I think Muppets is something that will be replaced permanently (at least in DCA).mindflipper wrote:I'm surprised its not more crowded at DLR, because it has had the crowds every time I've been to it at DHS at WDW.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
Plus...someone has probably said it already...3D movies really only existed at WDW and DLR before the 3D craze kicked in several years ago. So it was actually something cool to do/see while at one of the Disney parks because you couldn't watch a movie in 3D back in your hometown. Now people have 3D TVs in their homes...so nostalgia is what drives most people to things like Muppet Vision 3D and Captain EO. I think ITTBAB offers more than the other two, which is why it has better crowds, and being inside the Tree of Life helps too.

Re: Dateline Disneyland
At this rate, it might be. I remember when ElecTRONica was there, they moved in a viewing/behind the scenes thing of Tron Legacy though I think it happened mostly at night. Then last Christmas it was Prep and Landing or whatever. I just miss my Muppets.Amy wrote:So has MuppetVision 3D been discontinued in DL? It was also prep and landing again this year as well, they were partially trying to work the location into the event and partially trying to make the attraction suck a little less. They would probably like to get rid of muppets for something new but they need to come up with an idea that would fit into a small space and be fun.
