Yeah, the cities down here are constantly pulling them down as it violates code. There is one is a nearby city that was for some girls that got drunk (or just had really poor judgement skills), hopped a fence, climbed down a really steep embankment, and decided to take a nap on the train tracks (they ruled out suicide attempt since one survived because she wasn't on the tracks during the nap).

Oh, forgot one other thing. Ghost Galaxy's setup time must be mostly testing and syncing everything. I was there 2 days after it was done for the year and it was already back to normal mode.

How long was it closed for the overlay?

If I recall, about 2 weeks, most of the overlay is simply projections so only a few screens had to be removed and the soundtrack/tunnel/some lights had to be switched back. The exterior stuff can also be removed at a slower since it simply has to be disabled.

They took the overlay down real fast. From Micechat's In the Parks update on Thursday the ride was back to normal.

They are filming early this year, that would explain why they had so much ready before halloween. I wonder if the weather predictions (cold and wet) are impacting their decision as well?

It's kind of a ballsy time to be filming at DLR, as I mentioned before, there is little shelter from wind and it can cancel a day's worth of filming.

New Orleans Square looks beautiful at night.
I find it funny that DL is using the old Christmas decor from WDW Toontown...at least it hasn't all been scrapped!

They use to have a really nice tree at DLR's toontown (it would be tilted "toon like") must have gotten too faded from all the UV.

I don't like the trees Mickey and Minnie have in front of their house. Last year they looked much better.

I noticed in the photos that they had weather wraps on the cameras and lights...

The weather wraps don't work in 60 MPH winds, they turn into sails. :D

I believe that just makes them part of the Peter Pan segment of the parade ;)

Well, it wouldn't be a christmas at disneyland without at least one fatality.

Those candy canes looks tasty, but I'm not sure I would want to spend $10 for one. I hardly even make it through a normal sized cane
I can't believe World of Color is up to 1000 performances already. It doesn't seem like it's been that long
