Thanks :D

I always wondered why they would replace the astro orbitor (a ride) with something that resembles a ride, but isn't. (Does that make sense? )

I don't think it's even worth recording. I hate that stupid thing. I could have been cool but instead it's pathetic.

Does it still work? The last couple of times I saw it, nothing happened. I'd be intrigued to know if it was still running or if Disney just gave up on the whole idea.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Man - seems like they just walked away. After the first year it just stopped working from what I have ever seen. Making into a showpiece like the Fountain of Nations in Epcot would be cool but that takes money and effort. Dr - if you get video that would be interesting to see how much of it still works today...

I saw it working when we were there a few weeks ago but only in the early part of the day.

It always funny watching people's reactions to it when it goes. Everyone just sort of stares up quizzically and must say to themselves “what the hell?â€

I liked it better when the "old version" of Astro Orbitor was where that Observa-whatever thing that you're all talking about is now. It was up high off the ground so you really felt like you were flying! Why on earth did they move Astro Orbitor to the entrance of Tomorrowland and down to the ground?? Dumb if you ask me. Oh, and also dumb is that Observa-whatever thing.

That would be called the Rocket Jets, which looked sooo much better up high.

http://yesterland.com/rocketjets.html To me, that's a lot more futuristic than on the ground.

The rockets were really cool. I still remember waiting in line around the top of the playform waiting to go on. That ride was a lot of fun, and the way it was colored and designed, was instantly recognizable.
