LOL, I'm not asking for the life and philosphy of Descartes, I just want a really good story...y'know, just like the thing the second film didn't have...

I think part of that came from that they had to re-tell the first movie again (partially) since the entire concept of "User Power" was seen as more of a big reveal to newcomers.

I just remember in the second film I wish they could find the friggin' light switch. They seem to forget that the 3D effect is not as effective in dark scenery (did they ever watch that awful Christmas Carol 3D they did with Jim Carrey?)....

I must have been the only one who enjoyed the Christmas Carol with him. I don't get hyper critical of movies much which is why I tend to like real crappy ones often.

I never saw the movie, but I played the game that was available online for the computer and that was cute

Good music especially!

The movie itself wasn't bad, but the 3D effects that were touted so heavily in the marketing just didn't work as well. Something about being "too dark" makes the 3D effect not so effective. I also saw that in an article about Cameron with Avatar, saying he avoid pitch black as much as possible so as not to ruin the 3D effect.

You know what is kind of odd... now that you bring up that. The office went on a field trip to see Pirates 4, but in normal 2D rather than any of the 3D options. The entire movie seemed to be a lot darker too, even in daylight scenes.

LOL! That's what I thought just seeing the trailer/preview! I opted to see it in 2D instead of 3D myself for that reason...

I'm surprised micechat didn't cover the rare elephant airlift at disneyland (it was just on the news). Apparently last month they airlifted out one of the bull elephants from the jungle cruise for refurbishment.

I heard about that today but I didn't see the news report on it. I guess they weren't aware of it but I'm sure they'll talk about it asap.

Yes, I would guess it would make it into the next update. Sounds like an interesting sight for sure!
