Yeah, if you want to do the trifecta, definitely follow the advice of seasoned people and watch the MEP from the San Fran area. As soon as you can get a good look at the last float, get up and POWER-WALK to the entrance...if you're fast, you'll get there before the parade does and can exit without too much hassle. Then make your way into Disneyland, work your way up Main Street as much as you can and watch the fireworks. Then head into Frontierland and grab a good seat as soon as it's done. It's a lot of work, but it is possible.

It won't work if you watch the MEP from Sunshine Plaaza...the fireworks start around the same time the last float comes, so you won't have enough time to make it into Disneyland for the fireworks. Learned that the hard way. :p

Me and my boyfriend have done seen both show in one night. We always wait for the fireworks show at about 7pm to get right infront of the castle. Luck for us we are tired from the previous night and for that day that we dont mine waiting for the show so long. We enjoy and absorb everything that is going on and music. Then after that is done we make it to the late showing of fantasmic and get seating at the Riverbelle Terrace Restaurant and watch the show. :D

We also like DL's version better. Also, Remember beats Wishes by a mile.

Because we have small children, we're in the Fantasmic first group. We watch Remember from where we're sitting that night because we figure we'll be able to have a better view on another night.

But remember this coming weekend, I believe it is this coming weekend, Remember will go dark forever and a new fireworks show will run. It will be sad to see it go. I basically only remember, well, remember because the last fireworks show I saw was back in 1989 over fifteen years before I saw Remember. I know that the new show won't be as good as remember, this is due to the fact that they will use half as many shells, but hopefully it won't be that bad.

Dr. Ravenscroft, I am so sad to read this news. I haven't been keeping up with DL lately because our next few trips are to WDW. Remember was just one of those things that I always assumed would be there whenever we returned. Well, I'm glad I got to see it as many times as I did. It was a truly, truly great fireworks show.

eta: so I did a little websearching for the exact date it's closing and couldn't find it. I found news for the closure of Parade of Dreams a few weeks ago and upcoming closure of Disneyland's First 50 Years (happy about the last one because even though I like Steve Martin, I've never seen Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, only heard the track) but nothing about Remember.

Are they perhaps planning to call it Remember but (like New Coke) just switch the formula? That would be a bit lousy, wouldn't it?

Found this on Miceage.com:
Remember... Dreams Come True Fireworks Spectacular: Performances nightly through spring break season. Show is expected to end permanently following the 2009 peak spring break season. A new show will replace Remember this summer.

They used to have some cool lighting effects around the Rivers of America to the fireworks music -- hope that continues with the "new and improved" fireworks show.
