Hunchback of Notre Dame Festival of Fools Memories

Post by Akyriel » Oct Wed 08, 2008 1:58 pm

The first time I saw the show was in 1996 and was in awe of how good of an outdoor production it was... from the street players interacting with the audience before being let into Big Thunder Ranch (before it was called Festival Arena)... "the First thing... the FIRST thing... the first thing..." to the final confetti blast it was a great show. I loved going to Big Thunder Barbeque for lunch and then catching the show (omg the food there was awesome and needs its own thread haha).

What do you remember about this show? Anyone have pics of it to share?

I can't say that I ever saw it. I don't usually go to see anything in that theater. I still haven't gone back there to see this Princess thing.......for obvious reasons........but it might be nice to see what it is all about. Heck I have seen It's a Small World how many times now.

*sigh* I really miss that show. I would head over to Disneyland right after school just to catch one of the shows. :) Good times. The Big Thunder BBQ was amazing too. Especially the cornbread. lol

Here are some videos of it that I found on youtube:
Part 1- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMpoX3uERE4
Part 2- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=926ZWs3VSOg
Part 3- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKg9rqh-PBg

Here's one that was done professionally (not the best quality)... it isn't complete (I think it ends right after Topsy Turvy)

Part 1- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrqUZ6-7CXs
Part 2- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwQlGCwLMa8

Enjoy! It's good to know someone still remembers the show. :mickey:

I don't think I've ever seen it myself though my memory's pretty bad. It sounds familiar but I have no clue.
