Adults only trip to Disneyland

In 20 plus trips to Disneyland, we have always had kids with us. In two weeks my wife and I are going for our 20th anniversary and are going without the kids. We are looking to do things that we have never done before because of the kids and the cost.

So far, I have reservations to eat at the Blue Bayou Restaurant and we are scheduled to take the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour. We are looking for a couple of other things that we may have never done. Any suggestions? It might be important to note that we do not drink (Utah) and that we are staying in a condo off property. Thanks in advance.

How fun! The last time I went to Disneyland with my husband (and no kids) was our honeymoon. It's a completely different experience without the kids.

I guess it depends on what you were never able to do with the kids. As for us, our kids our young so there are even certain rides we can't do yet (Indiana Jones, California Screamin'). But your kids may be much older and so you've probably already experienced all the rides several times. We also don't drink but that never kept us from having a fun time together at Disneyland! I've heard that you used to be able to get priority seating with dessert somewhere to watch Fantasmic! but I don't know where that was or if they still have it. (Sorry, I'm no help!) But if they still do that it might be fun.

Just go and have a good time! It sounds like it's going to be great!

Not sure if Fantasmic is showing when you're going but if it's not here's a romantic suggestion: Ride the Mark Twain at night. This can be boring for kids but for adults it's great. My wife and I used to love riding this during Fantasmic's downtimes.

The Mark Twain at night is a good suggestion. Here is another relaxing one. You may have taken rides on the Disneyland Railroad before, but there is something about riding at night with your significant other beside you, holding your hand. Go around at least two times and just reflect on your day together. It's very romantic!

Since my wife and I dont have children yet all we know is adults only...heh! What we usually do are things like sharing an ice cream sundae at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. The smell in that store is magical in itself and sharing just makes it that more special. Also, the best is just sitting in one of your favorite lands and enjoying the ambiance.

The site says fantasmic should be playing that time. If it is, getting priority seating is an excellent way to watch the show. Kinda pricey though at aorund $60 per person i believe. Either way, you will be having a blast!

I am 50 my friend is 53 and we enjoy the park without having any kids. Of-course my son will be 29 next month so, its not like I would have a child with me anyway

I love being an adult and going to the park cause I dont have the responsibility of keeping track of or keeping any kids in check! I get to be the kid!!

It is kinda nice to be able to be the kid and not to have to keep an eye on them all the time. My wife and I don't have children, and we get to run amok and be silly and have fun the entire time. Plus you can stay at the park really late! I always think it's really fun just the two of us. If course, part of me is excited for when I get to take little ones with me to experience the magic

We dont' have kids either, so we usually always go alone

We really enjoy sitting on a bench with a dole whip and people watching. Also near park closing we like start back in Critter Country and walk slowly hand in hand toward the front of the park. By that time the back of the park is starting to get pretty empty, it's dark, and the sights and sounds around you are just the park.

Definitely make reservations to eat at the Napa Rose and drink some great wine while you are dining...
