Dole Whips are only $2.75 and very delicious IMO.

I posted on here before that the French Market was a good deal specifically their Fried chicken meal. Well not so any more :( During our trip they shut down the French Market last week and when it reopened the next day the menu was totally new. Fried chicken gone. Chicken nuggets for the kids gone. They now have meals with more vegies and they have higher prices. The cast member told me that they are going for a healthier menu. I could no longer find the fried chicken meal in the park. The plaza inn has fried chicken but not with fries so it makes it hard to split with a child. Very disappointing for us.

i would have to say that the monte cristos are good and at a reasonable price. i dont know if anyone would believe me but i think its worth it to be eating a monte cristo and sipping a mint julep with the sight of the river of america. :D

I absolutely think the fried chicken meal at the French Market is a great value, you get SO much food!! A side salad, roll, 3 pieces of chicken, and either fries or rice/beans! It's DELICIOUS too!

I think Rancho Del Zocalo comes in close to that for me.

I'm surprised so many people are sad about the French Market losing the Fried Chicken. For my money, Plaza Inn's Chicken is twice as good as French Market's, and you get a lot more bang for your buck.

What we liked about the French Market's fried chicken meal is that it had fries and was very easy for us to split with our kids. As far as I know the plaza is served with mashed and my kids like the fries.

Seriously, we got two of these the last time we were there and it was enough to feed my husband, myself and our three small children (granted my kids don't eat much). The portions were good sized and the pasta was great and it only set us back about $17-18 (can't remember exactly but I know we used our AP discount, too). I would definitely recommend it. I think we'll get the bread sticks as well next time.
