Any suggestions on restaurants where I should make dinner reservations for? It's been so long since I have been there I have no idea where to eat!

Reservation confirmed!
Yippee Skippie, I just made our reservations at the BB for lunch and last night went on Disney.com and booked our DL trip! To say I am excited is an understatement!!! We went cheap and are staying across the street at a good neighbor hotel, but I don't care cause all my time will be spent at the parks!!! 23 days until I hit hop aboard the Disneyland RR, can you say "ALL ABOARD"
 !!! Woo Hoo!!!

That's great news Boston! When you get on DLRR, don't forget to try and get on the one with the Lillybelle and then ask if you can ride in it, it's another amazing experience at DL that most people don't know aboutbostoncg wrote:Yippee Skippie, I just made our reservations at the BB for lunch and last night went on Disney.com and booked our DL trip! thanks danimal, I have heard good things about Cafe Orleans. Franklin (my friend) is not as excited about this trip as I am, he said something about "waiting in lines, crowded parks" I just ignored hiim and said YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD TIME whether you want to or not! I know I will!! He isn't as big a Disney fan as me then who is besides us on here

The food is quite good, I think the best bit of the restaurant is overlooking the pirates of the caribbean ride (although the blue lagoon in paris is better for this). I would strongly suggest that you reserve ahead of time though as this is one of the best and most popular restaurants in the park and sells out quickly.

Or you can ask for a "tender ride" this is when you get to ride right up in the cab of the engine, well not really "in" the cab more like just behind it on a small bench on the tender, hence the name tender ride.bostoncg wrote:thanks danimal, I have heard good things about Cafe Orleans. Well, I am back from my trip and we ate at the BB, it was so nice and relaxing. We had made reservations but didn't want to wait the extra 40 minutes to get a seat by the water, we got right in at our allotted time slot of 1pm. We split a Monte Cristo, no-way could I have eaten a whole one, they are huge! We had the best waitress and runner, left them both a big tip! It was a great experience, romantic, fun, and nice to sit and have someone wait on you and keep your iced tea full, plus it was nice to be inside with airconditioning. I would definately eat there again! NWPrincess I saw the Flying Dutchman Cookie Boat, looked fabulous, but we were so full we didn't do desert.
I do think I ate Churro's after almost every ride though...ha ha ha

Unfortunately you can't reserve water seating, but if you just reserve the opening lunch spots you are very likely to get a water seat. Otherwise, it's pretty much a crap shoot if you can get there at a time when someone is leaving (or just request to wait, but sometimes the water front seating wait is an hour or more, even with priority seating).bamato wrote:How long in advance did you make your reservations? About a month? Can you reserve a seat on the water or is it something you do need to wait for?
