I am pre-emptively stating that I WILL be going on April 5 - ON my birthday - and I WILL NOT BE SICK! (::cough, cough::) I wonder if it's like Tinkerbell - clap if you believe you'll be well in time for Disneyland!

Mickey Suite

Post by ahuerta » Apr Tue 01, 2008 5:28 pm

alhuerta, tell us about it! i was most curious about the animated mickey in the mickey suite...he appears in a mirror or something, right? what was that like? :D

Yes, it is a mirror that's right inside the front door. You stand in front of it, and when the lights on either side of the mirror start flashing, that means Mickey is about to appear. It's interactive...he asks you questions, tells jokes...it's pretty cool how it answers back! Made me think there might be someone watching us from behind the mirror....

Don't know if i answered this thread already, but the last time I went was last May, on my honeymoon, and it sucked. We discovered my wife's gall bladder issues after a particularly rich steak meal at Catal (not their fault) and she was sick the whole time.

We're going back April 25, 26, 27. Without steak, this time.

I haven't been to Disneyland since the summer of 2000. DCA was still under construction. I want to go back so bad. :(

my last visit to DL was in 2003 right after my sister performed in the rose parade. I think I rode pirates over 20 times that day. Including being the last rider of the day!! just a little obsessive...

20 times? Yes, that is a little obsessive. :) I don't think I've rode something more than three or four times in a day. Hmm, okay, that's not including when I used to work at the park. Which would probably put me riding Space Mountain more than 10 times in a day.

February 2008

Post by MintJulepRoo » Apr Thu 24, 2008 12:20 am

My last visit was February 2008. I went with my boyfriend and my sister and her husband. We were there for Valentines Day and that was soo perfect! However, we did not even think about the holiday weekend because Monday was going to be Presidents Day. The weekend was Jammed Packed. That part was NOT so great. We made the best of the crowds though and stood in many lines. 8-)

I've been going every year in mid-June for the past couple years. I wish I could go during a cooler & less crowded time but being a school teacher on the East coast makes it more complicated.

That's impressive for an East Coaster. I'm surprised you're not visiting WDW only. :) Perhaps we can get you to come to the meet!

I am soooooo excited I am flying to So Cal next week and will be at DL on Saturday and Sunday!! I know that so much has changed since I was there last (some where in 2000-2001 I went, but I honestly can't remember the exact time! they say the 1st thing to go is your memory  ) I have never been to DCA so I am looking forward to going there.

I don't have a digital camera so my boss is letting me take the one from work. It's pretty old but it will get the job done I am sure!!

OMG I am about to go nuts waiting for the days to pass!! To say I am excited is an understatement
