What does Disneyland mean to you?
I think everyone may have a similar answer to this but my answer is my home. I literally grew up at Disneyland. I was only two my first time at Disneyland and I remember it a little bit. I took my first steps in Critter Country towards Winnie the Pooh, (almost like that WDW 25th anniversary commercial) I said Mama for the first time in Tomorroland and it goes on and on. I've experienced almost my full childhood at Disneyland, thought I'm not a local of South Cal I still have been there as many times as a local can go. It's like, I can walk in any corner of the park and I have flashbacks of seeing the exact corner but in the eyes of a 5 year old. We all have a story like this one. Tell us what makes Disneyland a key element in your life!
Well, it was the first Disney park I visitied as a kid (we stated annual trips to WDW the next year). It's kind of like the place I fell in love at.

Yeah, it was my first theme park, too. I went when I was three, and my Mom said that Gadget's Go Coaster was my first Roller Coaster, and that I loved it. I also went on Star Tours and the Matterhorn that day. My mom said that people thought that she was crazy for putting me on the rides.

I was a bit disappointed with Disneyland at 13, after having visited WDW several times prior. But when my wife and I moved to California and brought our 11-month-old for the first time, we experienced true magic through her. DL became our absolute "happy place" and I have since only wanted to visit Anaheim when planning our vacations. Our girls have visited at least twice a year since they were 1, including the past two years we have lived in Indiana. I think it is all in how you approach DL. I am sure my brother complained the entire trip created a negative atmosphere back in the '70's. He just doesn't get it!

My great escape!
Growing up in Washington State, I only went once as a kid. It was magical and yet we went mostly on the stuff that my Grandma liked (shows & really slow stuff). As an adult, I took my kids in 1997 and I got to be a kid. We have been back almost every year since and now two or three times a year (from Utah). My life is crazy with too many iron in too many pots, so Disneyland is my great escape from life and email and cell phones. I just relax and I can really be with my kids

For our family it is exactly what walt wanted, a place where families, both children and parents, can have a wonderful time together. it is a place of wonder and child-lkeness for anyone who opens there eyes to the dream. Every year when planning a vacation we start to plan for somewhere else but we are drawn back to the land of disney each time. For me it is just felling happy

Yes, this is my happy place! Well, when not in my happy place.
