If I recall, at least in DLR, that was added as part of the 2006 upgrade, so I wouldn't expect it to be removed. They kind of have to let some things break and stay broken for a while to make the repairs possible (like how some doctors will not want you to go in for a procedure until you get "bad enough") since it would involve shutting the entire ride down for an extended period of time and draining everything.

So they aren't going to have movie character projections anymore?
I think the projections are still there, but they apparently rotate between blackbeard and davy jones now.

For that, it gets the hose again!

It's odd with the busy weeks of the holiday season, I've posted before how we don't go to lunch during the summer busy season, but during the busy (we are on vacation for the busiest week) times in the winter everyone seems to stay in the parks rather than go to DTD to eat.

Since I normally don't go in the evening, I noticed last time I was there that at night, the DCA gate between world of disney and La Brea bakery was now open and being used as an exit gate. Is this new/temporary for nights during the construction? It's quite nice to not have to double back to leave.

I didn't even know they opened that area up as an exit. I haven't gone to DCA in a while so I hope to take a look see.

I'm guessing it's normally done only later in the day/near closing time. I think DLR has a similar thing that happens where they use some backstage areas to help get people out faster.

Just got back from lunch, it looks like the pirates thing was all refurbishment and adjustment to the video part.

It was really odd today, it was crowded but no one was riding stuff (short lines) and rides were breaking down a lot.

Wait, what? You run to DLR on your lunch break?

Read back over the last year or so. :D

Yeah, on days I go into the office (work at home is nice) we usually have a lunch meeting at least once a week, due to the lacking of good places we usually run over to DTD for lunch as it has more choices. Since I (and a few others) have APs we can get a ride or two in after lunch then head back to work.

I am so envious that you are able to do that! I wonder why people were there but not riding? Maybe you were just seeing all the people when they were being spit out of the breaking down attractions?!
That interesting about pirates. I figured they were doing a lot of stuff since it was down so long...

Partially that, but tons of people were in line for the furries. I think I learned what is in the lowest circle of hell as well. the alice and mad hatter characters were walking (not interacting with other people) and they had to keep up a banal conversation like they were really the people they were dressed as.

Hmmm, that's weird. I would think they would be very popular!

Wow looks like the Disneyland Hotel really came out amazing. Definitely an option now if I was to go to Disneyland. Radiator Springs is really taking shape and looks amazing. I can't wait to see that all done.
