Crowds - The days before Thanksgiving

Post by ZonieB » Nov Mon 02, 2009 5:29 pm

I was wondering what everyone's experience has been as far as attendance during the Sun - Wed. before Thanksgiving. I know that T-day 4 day weekend is a zoo but I have heard different opinions in regards to the days leading up to it. I have heard things from 'insanely crowded' to 'not too bad' to 'pretty quiet'.

Your experience, thoughts, best-guess?

This is going to be my husbands first trip...just want to know what to expect so we can plan accordingly.

Thanks!

I just searched that for you even though it's three years old. I'm sure it's still intact. I try my hardest to avoid any holidays.

What about the Monday AFTER Thanksgiving? My family and I are going for my sister's birthday and I'm imagining there being no one there but I had a terrible dream last night that it was just as busy as any other day.

It may be a possibility that the crowds will lighten up since kids are going back to school on Monday (depending on the districts) so you could at least try it out. The Thanksgiving weekend is usually the time you should avoid.

I was there the week before Thanksgiving this year and it was very pleasurable. But on Friday before I was leaving, you had to get a hand stamp and have your pass to get in if you were park hopping because they were expecting a large crowd that day.
