Going for the first time in two years...

Post by danimal3114u » Sep Thu 24, 2009 10:56 am

and it's truly amazing how Subsonic and Mouse Planet makes it seem like I haven't missed out on anything. It's really funny, but I feel completely up to date and like it hasn't been that long. It's really because of listening to SR and watching the forums (even if I don't post that often anymore) and reading up on Mouse Planet.

One of my biggest questions is what ride has the shortest wait time now a days? Are the Subs still incredibly long? Has anyone tried the Spooky Space Mountain and how's the wait? Any other advice for things that might have changed in a couple of years? - we'll be going this weekend!

Your best bet is to go during the weekdays like Tuesday or Wednesday since most kids will be in school by then. The subs tend to be long but it should tone down before the holidays start up. I have yet to try the Spooky Space Mountain because I believe it opens up tomorrow so I'm looking forward to it.

Ticket prices have changed, there's going to be a new food kiosk right by where the old motor boats were in Fantasyland, etc. Micechat will keep you updated!

Also check out mouseplanet.com. They have weekly reports as to what's going on at the park, and what attractions are closed for refurbs.

Thanks all! We'll be going this Saturady, but got the 4 Day Park Hopper from Costco (that we saw on MousePlanet), so we're planning to go Sat. 1 day, then 2 days overnight during the Holiday time (but before Xmas or Xmas Eve) and then save a day for later - and who knows, we may upgrade to APs again :)

If you never been to DL for the holidays - GO! You got Small World Holiday, the Haunted Mansion Holiday, etc. The DL park decorates very well for the holidays. Try going some time between Thanksgiving and Xmas.
