People with WMP issues:
What OS and Browser are you using?
Will some of you stop by the chat during the day and help me debug?
Wolfkin, especially you as they used to work.

I use the Subsonic Radio Player for Windows most of the time. Will there be an update so that the stream is added? I also use the app for Ipod touch and everything works fine.

Re: Added a Living Seas stream (and a pat on my back)
After reading this I decided to try out the Holiday stream through iTunes, since it would not work for me during this past Christmas season, and it works! So thanks for that! Sadly it doesn't work through my Subsonic Mac App. I send BleuLlama a PM about to so hopefully he will be able to check that out before this years Christmas season.

This part made no sense to me.subsonic wrote:TL;DR : We've added a Living Seas stream and iTunes links
I hop online today, join the chat (as I usually do, so should you), and rdeacon says, "The scheduled stream link isn't working correctly." After some talking back and forth - and me trying to decipher his vast use of pronouns - I start looking at our code handing our streams. It's a mess; We've been hacking code to make links to streams works. I had some time today to muck around and finally fix it. Soarin', Star Tunnel, Holiday are all hosted on icecast and need to be parsed differently. When looking at that host, I noticed jcdirewolf at some point made a Living Seas stream. I thought, "I might as well drop that in too". I also fixed the Windows Media Player links (all links should work correctly now, and not just play the intro). BleuLlama suggested adding iTunes links, which I did.
This part made total sense to me. Thanks for the work, and thanks for the translation!!!subsonic wrote:So what this means to you:
- Added in Living Seas Stream
- Listening in iTunes should be easier.
- Fixed broken link to scheduled stream for Winamp
- All Windows Media Player links work and play the stream after intro
- All icecast servers link/play correctly.

I was unable to get WMP to work with FireFox but it does work, oddly enough, with my ancient IE at work.

I have issues with Firefox on one of my computers that runs Windows 7, but not the other, and not the one that runs Vista. I've heard lots of people using Firefox having trouble with plug-ins (my issue is with Flash) and to resolve this I have been using Google Chrome on that computer. It might work better for you. But I do love Firefox.ginger19 wrote:I was unable to get WMP to work with FireFox but it does work, oddly enough, with my ancient IE at work.

Thank you SO much. I have been a daily listener for a few years now. I find nothing helps my workday more than feeling like I'm walking around a park all day. Since finding these wonderful streams, I've always really loved when The Living Seas was playing, it's my favorite. To now have a stream that I can tune into at will is just wonderful. You ROCK!!!!

Thank you so much for adding a whole stream for Living Seas! It is my favorite music from EPCOT. I know what I will be listening to from now on.

Re: Added a Living Seas stream (and a pat on my back)
After years of abuse by the company, I finally lost nearly all interest in things Disney, but today I picked the wrong link in my URL bar, landed on subsonic, and saw the Living Seas channel.
Aside from having difficulty breathing, what with my lungs crushed by nostalgia and all, I farking love it.
Thanks for keeping the torch lit, sub.

On the surface there is hunger and fear. Men still exercise unjust laws. They fight, tear one another to pieces. A mere few feet beneath the waves their reign ceases, their evil drowns. Here on the ocean floor is the only independence.
