Added a Living Seas stream (and a pat on my back)
TL;DR : We've added a Living Seas stream and iTunes links
I hop online today, join the chat (as I usually do, so should you), and rdeacon says, "The scheduled stream link isn't working correctly." After some talking back and forth - and me trying to decipher his vast use of pronouns - I start looking at our code handing our streams. It's a mess; We've been hacking code to make links to streams works. I had some time today to muck around and finally fix it. Soarin', Star Tunnel, Holiday are all hosted on icecast and need to be parsed differently. When looking at that host, I noticed jcdirewolf at some point made a Living Seas stream. I thought, "I might as well drop that in too". I also fixed the Windows Media Player links (all links should work correctly now, and not just play the intro). BleuLlama suggested adding iTunes links, which I did.
So what this means to you:
- Added in Living Seas Stream
- Listening in iTunes should be easier.
- Fixed broken link to scheduled stream for Winamp
- All Windows Media Player links work and play the stream after intro
- All icecast servers link/play correctly.

This is awesome! Thanks.

Thanks for all the work ... but, um ... none of the Windows Media links work ( for me, they all worked great before ) and it does not go back to the main page after launching ( or attempting to launch ) the stream.
( Update 9:25 ) Holiday and Living Seas streams pull up ok.

I use the iphone app developed here by one of our awesome forum members, thanks BleuLlama Plug it into the charger/fm transmitter and play it through my stereo. It streams nicely on any of the 48k streams. The 96k streams have to buffer too often...I haven't looked to see what the Living Seas stream is yetsubsonic wrote:With which app?Amy wrote:Awesome! EDIT: I guess it is just a 96k stream, but it worked fine today in the car. It was nice driving through the deluge listening to underwater music

Re: Added a Living Seas stream (and a pat on my back)
I haven't been able to get the WMP links to work for months. When I click I get the following message in a pop up box.
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. If you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").
Anything I need to know to do different? I'm using a portable app version of Chrome on Windows 7, when I click on the link a little box goes to the bottom of my screen saying click stream.asx to open, it opens up WMP and gives me that pop up message.

Re: Added a Living Seas stream (and a pat on my back)
Dont know about Win-7 .. I'm still sitting on XP with WMP 11. Link pops up the player and goes to work ( most of the time ) ... did find out that it can kick an error if the stream is "full".
Re: Added a Living Seas stream (and a pat on my back)
WMP is not working now for me either.
