As it happens, I'm seeing the same thing on my development copy. I'm trying to work out why, but I'm not sure right now.

Is anyone else seeing this?

OK, sorry to follow up to myself here, but I think I've found the cause and a workaround.

It looks like it fails to load the .dll files correctly if you run the application from a shortcut (or the windows 7 taskbar). The quick workaround is to run the application from the folder it's actually stored in (not a shortcut).

It looks like sometimes it'll work, sometimes it won't (from a shortcut of pinned to the Win7 taskbar). I'll have to do some research into this, but for now it looks like it'll work if you run it from the actual .exe file instead of using a shortcut.

Sorry if this is a bit inconvenient! I've no idea why this is happening right now, but I'm on the case! :?

I'll keep you updated if I find anything!

This is what happed to me until I moved the 2 dll files to the desktop and hid them. They have to stay with the main program icon. Thats what I am using not a shortcut.

I'd like to make a suggestion for the next version. A display of how long the current track has been playing. (I implemented this in the Mac version by displaying a timer, and just resetting it when i receive new song title information, or when a new stream is started.)
1978: WDW MK, River Country -- Fort Wilderness
1985: WDW MK, EPCOT, River Country -- Polynesian
2011: DLR, DCA (one day)
2012: WDW Poly (one evening)
All of that, and part of me is still there.

Well done, you :)

I thought about it (although I was going to go for the time the stream has been playing), but I couldn't find a reliable way of doing it in C# that won't give false readings if your CPU gets bogged down. I need to sit down and have a think about it. There's a couple of other things I'm thinking of adding for a 1.2 release (which won't be for a little while yet, since Minecraft other things are getting in the way.)

Warning: Neckbeard nerd talk ahead!

Here's what I do in the Mac app;

When a track starts/stream starts, i save aside the current unix time (seconds since whenever).
I have a timer set up to fire every half second or so. In this timer, i get the current unix time, subtract the saved aside one, and get the current duration since that first value.
This means that the "current duration" to be displayed is accurate irregardless of any lag or holdups that the UI/System might throw your way.

Then it's just a simple matter of taking the duration, doing a little bit of math, and you get a pretty time display to print.

int mins = (int) ((float)trackDuration/60.0);
int secs = (int) trackDuration - (60 * mins);

It's not 100% accurate, but no one will notice. ;)

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking of doing. It won't be wholly accurate, although it should give you a fair guess. The track names are sent over by the streaming server before you actually hear the track start (you may have noticed this if you're listening to the stream, the next track's name will pop up a few seconds before the track actually starts). Although given that the next track will also give you the name a few seconds early, the eventual length that you end up with will be roughly the right length, but a few seconds out from what it would be if you played the same file locally. The lag between the name appearing and the track actually starting varies slightly, too.

Of course, the time reported for the track playing when you first start playing the stream will be a long way off, since there's no way of telling when it actually started...

Overall, it's a mess of inaccuracies. But it should work. Maybe. :)

Anyway, enough tech talk. We'll scare the locals off ;)

It's pretty much computer programming. They're discussing how to code for different things on both the Mac and PC players so both can display the same/similar things.

Wait, wait.. I said something that makes sense? I do apologise for that. I'll try and obfuscate it a bit more next time.
