Actually, I never had until last night. How do you turn off getting e-mails when you get a private message?

Actually you are unable to do that. You used to be able to choose yes or no for forum email notifications through your profile. However, you are now unable to choose if you receive notifications from the site. From what I understand, everybody not be receiving emails from the site anymore.

Actually, Len90, I had set up NOT to receive it originally. I hadn't received any e-mail notifications until last night. I exchanged a few PM's last night and discovered this morning in my e-mail inbox I got e-mail notifications that I received PM's back. I don't want the e-mails. I was trying to find out if there's anything I can do to turn it back off.

Those of you that are still getting the email messages, its from forum posts that were made before I turned off the email notification system. All newer post are not sending out the notifications.

Sent a private message to you of the e-mail I got. In my profile, the e-mail notification for private message has been switched to "Yes" but it is also greyed out so it will not allow me to change it back to "No". Can you fix that?

This explains a lot. Tell me (us) if you got PM E-mail notification, will you still get them, or are you just gonna get them for the people you have already PM'd with?

I think they're trying to turn it off for everyone, Jacca5660. Somehow, I think my problem getting the e-mail notifications is a quirk to be fixed. It's not an option, but an error.

Oh, I understand that. It looks like there are going to be remnants of the old system of notification left. Sometimes it's are to ferret out an old program.

I'm still getting forum e-mail notifications every time I receive a private message. I had originally set up not get this; but somehow when change was made the system, I got switched from "No" to "Yes". The option is now grayed out under profile settings, so I can't switch it back to "No". Can one of the admins make this switch for me?

I don't seem to be getting PM notifications. I do get E-mail notifications on all the treads that I was involved with before this started though.
