Give it time. It's only a year old. Most of the best known sites out there have been around for years. Persistence is the key :)

Exactly, and I'm glad that it isn't swamped with listeners otherwise getting a slot to listen, let alone request, would be hard...

I would say the growth experienced in one year is really good, considering the stiff competition that you can find especially on Live365.

well, if you've got some bandwidth to spare, please consider donating it to the site. With the relay, you can guarantee you'll get a spot with the reserve ip list. :D

you can find info for becomeing a relay here.

When I first came online people would constantly say how nice it was that this was on shoutcast and NOT live365. I haven't heard that in a LONG time. I don't see how live365 overshadows me so much. Perhaps I should get a stream there advertisting to come here :)

Live365 simply has a larger userbase than shoutcast and it has a built in audio player that doesn't require another program (Winamp) to listen to it. That and most of the Disney stations are there so folks just assume they're all there.

Perhaps it's having "Disney central Radio" in sigs that deture people from coming here :)

Actually, I've seen about 2-3 people I don't know have SubsonicRadio.com in their sigs on other sites.

First what are sigs and I also think that people are having a hard time finding the site. It is so hard to do a search for Subsonicradio is not listed for disney at all

sigs = signatures (like how you have the "take a joke america", the browser player link, and the who's online link on the bottom of every post)

and I agree that Subsonic isn't the best for search terms. I wouldn't have found this site unless I found Disneyforever.com and the link was there. I think we need to get the word out a bit more...

Funny I have had 56 people click on my the browser player link since I started having it in my Sig

Also Sub add this code to the top of the main page and see if you get more hits.
I Said wrote:<meta name="keywords" content="Disney, Theme park, disney audio, sub, disney music, disney radio">
Or anything else to use for key words

This is pretty much all I listen to here at work. There are times though with so many people in and out of my office and me answering the phones here that I miss tracks that I really want to hear. The good thing about being on the East Coast is I am online pretty early and can generally get my requests in before everyone hits the office for work, so that I can actually enjoy my coffee and my Subsonic requests! Thanks for an awesome site!
