I've been trying, but usually no one's around when I'm up, or I'm looking at the forum in between other tasks, so I couldn't really chat properly.

I finally heard it today...I can see how a non-fanatic would try to convince you it's just the classic Star Tunnel song. Pretty cool.

I feel stupid, I've had this one in my own collection for a while, but I figured this station already had it, so I never bothered uploading it

The "third tunnel music" is actually the first music I associate with Space mountain because I remember it from when I was little. I always thought Star Tunnel was just played on the TTA until I found this site. Star Tunnel is only played in all of two feet at the very beginning of the Space Mountain queue. I've only recently started hearing it in line since the line has been out the door the past few years.

Now that you mention it, Chesire, Star Tunnel never sounded quite right to me. I actually got it on CD a while ago, back when those WDW music kiosks were set up. Someone made me a couple mixes as gifts, and when I heard it the first time, it didn't quite register as to what it was.

Space Mountain has never been a real favorite attraction of mine, so I didn't put a lot of thought into it, but I think you have something there...

Space Mountain (at DLR) is my favorite attraction. Not only is it fun to ride, I also have a deeper connection for having operated it. I miss working there.

I think in 2007 when I got back from my trip, I made a post asking if anybody knew what it was. I'm too lazy to search for it to see if I did post it. Too bad you missed it. You would have saved me some hair pulling.
